1. INTRODUCTION
This Miwayz Referral Programme & Reward Points Policy (“Policy”) governs participation in the referral and reward programme made available through the MiWAYZ application and related platform (collectively referred to as the “App / Platform”), operated by Miwayz Lanka (Private) Limited, a company duly incorporated under the laws of Sri Lanka (“Company”).
This Policy forms an integral part of the Platform Terms and Conditions and applies to all registered Users of the Platform.
By participating in the Referral Programme or earning, redeeming, or otherwise using Reward Points, the User acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by this Policy
2.DEFINITIONS
2.1 “Account” means a registered user account maintained on the Platform.
2.2 “Reward Points”refers to the loyalty reward points issued by Company to eligible users under promotional, referral, reward, or loyalty campaigns conducted by Company from time to time.
2.3 “Platform” means the mobile application, website, and associated digital services operated by the Company
2.4 “Referral Programme” refers to the promotional programme through which Users may refer new users to the Platform and earn rewards under this Policy
2.5 “Referrer” means a User who refers a new user to the Platform.
2.6 “Referee” means a new user who registers on Platform using a valid referral code, referral link, or QR code shared by a Referrer.
2.7 “Referral Code” means the unique alphanumeric code generated by the Platform for referral purposes
2.8 “Referred User” means a first-time user who registers using a valid Referral Code.
2.9 “Eligible Ride” means a successfully completed ride booked through the Company platform and paid in full through an approved payment method, excluding cancelled, fraudulent, duplicated, or promotional-only rides.
2.10 “Fraudulent Activity” includes any conduct intended to manipulate, abuse, or improperly
obtain Points or Rewards
2.11 “User” means any person holding a valid registered Account on the Platform, including passengers and drivers.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Participation in the Referral Programme is limited to:
- a) individuals aged eighteen (18) years or above,
- b) users maintaining a valid registered Account on the Platform;
3.2 The following persons shall not be eligible unless expressly authorized:
- a) employees of the Company;
- b) contractors, agents, affiliates, or partners of the Company;
- c) any person otherwise restricted by applicable law or internal Company
3.3 The Company reserves the right to require identity verification, including mobile verification, NIC verification, or any other authentication process
4. REFERRAL PROGRAMME
4.1 Referral Process
A User may invite eligible new users to register on the Platform by sharing their unique Referral Code through permitted channels.
4.2 Qualification of Referral
A referral shall qualify only if:
- a) the Referred User registers using a valid Referral Code;
- b) the Referred User has never previously created or operated an Account on the Platform; c) the Referred User completes an Eligible Ride within 90 days of registration;
- d) all payment obligations relating to the Eligible Ride are successfully settled
4.3 Duplicate Accounts Prohibited
A User shall not create, maintain, or operate multiple Accounts for the purpose of obtaining referral benefits
4.4. Earning Reward Points
- a) Users may earn Reward Points through eligible rides, promotional campaigns, referrals, bonuses, or any other qualifying activities determined by Company at its sole
- b) Unless otherwise stated in a specific promotion, Reward Points shall be awarded on the following basis:
- Rs. 100 spent = 1 Reward Point
- c) Points shall be credited only after successful verification by the
- d) Reward Points shall ordinarily be credited within 24 hours following
- e) The Company reserves the right to delay, suspend, or withhold crediting pending
- f) The Company reserves the right to modify the earnings ratio, eligible categories, or qualifying criteria at any time without prior
4.5 Redemption of Reward Points
- a) Reward Points may be redeemed against eligible ride fares and services available on the Company
- b) The redemption value shall be as follows:
- 100 Reward Points = Rs. 100
- c) Reward Points are promotional credits Reward Points:
- i) have no cash value;
- ii) are non-transferable; iii) are non-refundable;
- iv) shall not accrue interest;
- v) cannot be combined with other promotions
- vi) do not constitute legal tender, stored monetary value, or electronic vii) shall not constitute property of the User.
- d) Reward Points may only be redeemed through redemption mechanisms expressly provided within the
- e) Redemption may include:
- i) ride discounts; ii) ride credits;
iii) promotional vouchers;
- iv) such other rewards as determined by the
- f) Redemption is subject to:
- i) minimum redemption thresholds; [Currently the Minimum redemption threshold is 100] ii) applicable promotional restrictions;
iii) availability of rewards.
- g) Reward Points shall not be redeemable for cash withdrawal, bank transfer, or equivalent monetary payment unless expressly permitted by
4.6 Expiry and Cancellation
- a) Reward Points shall expire automatically twelve (12) months from the date of accrual unless
otherwise specified.
- b) Reward Points shall be forfeited immediately upon:
- i) closure or suspension of the Account; ii) detection of Fraudulent Activity;
iii)rides are cancelled or refundediv) duplicate accounts are identified; v) abuse of promotions is detected; or
- vi) breach of this Policy or Platform
- e) Expired or forfeited Reward Points shall not be reinstated unless expressly approved by the Company.
5. PROMOTIONAL OFFER
5.1 Launch Promotion–For Passengers
Eligible new Passengers may receive:
- 50% OFF promotional discounts on eligible rides subject to the following conditions:
- a) The promotion applies only to newly registered Users of the Platformb) The Company reserves the right to impose maximum discount caps per
- c) Promotion validity periods and end dates shall be determined and announced separately by
- d) The promotion cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or combined with other promotions unless expressly stated by Company e) Company reserves the right to suspend, modify, or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior
5.2 Launch Promotion–For Driver
Eligible new drivers may receive:
- 0% Commission & Zero Subscription for three (3) months from 13th July 2026
subject to the following conditions:
- a) The promotion applies only to newly registered drivers onboarded during the promotional campaign period determined by
- b) The promotional period shall commence from the date of successful driver activation on the
- c) Upon expiry of the promotional period, standard subscription models, service charges, or commission structures applicable at the time shall
- d) Company reserves the right to amend, suspend, extend, or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior
- e) The promotion is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
6. REWARD POINTS
6.1 Passenger Reward Points
- a) A Referrer may earn a Reward Points of:
- Rs. 300 per successful passenger referral
subject to the eligibility criteria determined by the Company from time to time.
- b) The Reward Points shall only be credited after: Referred User has completed the following requirements
- a minimum of five (5) completed rides; and
- each qualifying ride has a minimum ride value of LKR 600.
- the Referred User successfully registers using the referral code, referral link, or QR code;
- the Referred User completes the qualifying ride requirements determined by Company; and
- Company verifies compliance with all applicable Terms & Conditions.
- c) The Company reserves the right to determine the qualifying conditions, campaign duration, and eligibility requirements for a successful
6.2 Driver Reward Points
- a) Existing drivers or Users may earn a Reward for referring new drivers to the Company
- Rs. 500 per successful Driver referral
- b) Driver Rewards shall only be credited once the referred driver completes:
- a minimum of five (5) completed rides; and
- each qualifying ride has a minimum ride value of LKR 600.
- c) Company reserves the right to amend the qualifying ride count, minimum ride value, or Reward structure at any
- PROHIBITED CONDUCT Users shall not engage in:
- a) self-referrals;
- b) creation of duplicate or fictitious Accounts; c) use of false identities;
- d) artificial ride generation;
- e) collusion between riders and drivers;
- f) ride cancellations designed to manipulate eligibility;
- g) use of bots, scripts, automation, or system exploitation;
- h) public advertising or sale of referral codes without authorization; i) unsolicited bulk distribution of referral codes
8. FRAUD DETECTION AND INVESTIGATION
8.1 The Company may investigate suspected Fraudulent Activity. 8.2 The Company may use:
- a) device identification; b) IP analysis;
- c) payment instrument verification; d) ride pattern analysis;
- e) geolocation validation;
- f) manual audit
8.3 Pending investigation, the Company may suspend:
- a) referral benefits; b) Reward Points;
- c) Account access
9. COMPANY RIGHTS AND DISCRETION
The Company reserves the absolute right to:
- a) amend Reward Point earning criteria;
- b) modify redemption values;
- c) suspend or terminate the Programme; d) reject referrals;
- e) reverse awarded Reward Points; f) disqualify
The Company’s decision on all matters relating to this Policy shall be final and binding.
10. MODIFICATION OR TERMINATION
10.1 The Company may amend, replace, suspend, or terminate this Policy at any time without prior notice.
10.2 No User shall acquire vested rights in respect of unredeemed Reward Points.
10.3 Continued use of the Platform following amendments constitutes acceptance of such amendments
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Company shall not be liable for:
- a) delayed or failed Point credits; b) technical interruptions;
- c) system outages;
- d) unauthorized access; e) data loss;
- f) programme suspension;
- g) redemption
To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, all promotional benefits are provided on an“asavailable” basis
12. DATA PRIVACY
12.1 Participation in the Programme constitutes consent to processing of personal data for:
- a) referral verification; b) fraud prevention;
- c) reward administration;
- d) programme communications.
12.2 Data processing shall be conducted in accordance with applicable laws of Sri Lanka, including the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022
13. TAXES AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
13.1 Users shall be solely responsible for any taxes, levies, duties, or other statutory obligations arising from Rewards where applicable.
13.2 Participation is subject to compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements
of Sri Lanka
14. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION
The Company may suspend or terminate participation where a User:
- a) breaches this Policy;
- b) breaches Platform Terms;
- c) engages in suspicious activity;
- d) provides misleading or inaccurate information
15. NO AGENCY OR PARTNERSHIP
Participation in the Referral Programme does not create any:
- a) employment relationship; b) partnership;
- c) agency;
- d) joint venture;
between the User and the Company
16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
16.1 Any complaint relating to the Referral Programme shall first be submitted to:
support@miwayz.com
16.2 The Company shall review and respond within a reasonable period
17. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
17.1 This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
17.2 The courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from
or relating to this Policy
